All Saints’ Church is one of the Donside Group of churches. We meet on the first Sunday of every month for Evening Prayer at 3.00pm, and every Thursday for Morning Prayer at 11.30am. There is a Eucharist Service occasionally in place of Evening Prayer, and usually on the third Thursday of the month at our 11.30 am service. [To find out about the themes for the next service, click on NEWS]. Mr Richard Murray, Lay Reader, leads our monthly and weekly worship and Rev John Walker our Eucharist services.
In addition to our regular services we continue to offer the opportunity to hear a variety of guest speakers on far-ranging topics of interest. Indeed, from one of the pictures, you will see that we enjoyed a talk and recital on Organ Music in North East Scotland in the latter part of last year given by Dr Roger Williams, MBE who was Master of Ceremonial Music and Organist at the University of Aberdeen. Past talks have included topics such as Christianity as a World Religion, Great War Poetry, Church and Nation, Religious Sites around the World, and the Doric Translation of the Bible while there have been some musical recitals. In addition, representatives of various charitable organisations have given addresses on their work.
The opening of our extension to the church in June 2013 was a very happy event for us, primarily in our development as a church, but also because the space now offers a useful facility for meetings of small groups within the church or the wider community.
The congregation of All Saints’ comprises members from other churches within this diocese and some visitors from various denominations or none who simply come along to enjoy this style of worship. We always welcome new and visiting members and invite them to share some time after each service with a friendly gathering over a cup of tea or coffee and value the chance for all to get to know one another.
Welcome to the website of All Saints Episcopal Church, Whiterashes.
Where are we?
All Saints’ Church is on the A947 in the middle of Whiterashes which is some four miles north of Newmachar. Parking is very limited at the Church itself so please use the car park adjacent to the Community Hall fifty yards to the south. If that is full, the side of the road to Inverurie opposite can be used.
