Sunday, 1st March

In the liturgical calendar of the Western Christian churches, Ember Days are four separate sets of three days within the same week — specifically, the Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday — set aside for fasting and prayer. Last week was one such week and now in Lent we are well into the ‘great fast’ of 40 days. In our service we shall be reflecting on the various meanings of fasting.  The ‘good news’ is that Sundays are excluded so we shall be enjoying our usual refreshment after the service!  We hope you can join us.
